Biography of Evan Schnalle
Evan Schnalle was born in 1986 in Rockhampton, Queensland. He is a multi award winning performer and writer who specialises in country comedy and bush verse. Evan recorded his first CD at the age of thirteen. He has written some award winning humorous and serious poems, as well as songs which he has added to his large repertoire. Evan also has the honour of being runner up Queensland Champion Poet 2003. Some of Evan’s work has been broadcast on several radio stations including the ABC.
Evan has performed at numerous venues, including, Charity Concerts, Private Parties, Clubs, Pubs, Poet’s Breakfasts, Festivals and Concerts throughout Eastern Australia from Charters Towers in North Queensland, to Nelligen in Southern NSW. Since the age of twelve Evan has performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival at a number of venues including The Long Yard and West Tamworth Leagues Club. Evan has also performed at a number of Agricultural Shows including the Brisbane Exhibition and Beef Australia Rockhampton 2003 and 2006. Evan entertained audiences at the Village Arts Festival 2003, Yeppoon.
Evan has shared the stage with popular entertainers such as
Darren Coggan, Adam Brand, Alan Caswell, Tania
Self, Lyn Bowtell, Slim Newton, "Bananas in Pyjamas", Seaman Dan, Ray Essery, Gary Fogerty, Mark Gliori, Neil McArthur, Jake Drake, John Major and the late Bobby Miller as well as many others throughout Eastern Australia.
Evan has been working on his third album which was released in January 2008. Evan performs on a number of radio stations including Tamworth's Festival FM 101.5 during the Tamworth Country Music Festival every year. He has performed on Chris Lawson’s show, “Bush Yarns and Bulldust broadcast on ABC Capricornia - (827 AM). Also Evan has performed on Jeff Goodwin's show, “Talk of the Town” and on Michael J Bailey's show, “Michael in the Morining” which is broadcast on Rockhampton 4RO - (990 AM).
Evan has developed his talents as an entertainer specialising in country comedy, monologue songs and bush poetry, continually adding to his large repertoire. This young performer is making a big impact throughout Eastern Australia with his unique style entertaining audiences wherever he performs. Evan brings the "Bush to the City", which many performers do well, but Evan also brings the "City to the Bush". |
